Apoyo

Simply majestic, Laguna de Apoyo is a 48 square kilometer volcanic crater lake that was formed 21,000 years ago. The water is crystal clear, deep blue/green and measures 800-900 feet in depth. It is surrounded by a dry tropical forest that boasts many trees more than 100 years old and small “howler” monkeys that can be heard in the distance. Apoyo is simply magical. The warm waters are full of minerals, and the temperature at the Laguna Sol project site is usually 5-7 degrees cooler than Granada. Add a steady breeze coming from the east and you have a perfect climate.

The Lagoon’s central location is also unbeatable. While you feel as though you are a world away, the bustling city streets of colonial Granada are only 20 minutes away. Granada boasts great restaurants, live music, cultural events, and his one of Nicaragua’s most visited city by tourists from around the world.

Additionally, you are only 30 minutes from Managua, and 1.5 hours from the Pacific Beaches!
